Job profile
At esurance, the way we evaluate customers and generate offers is driven by data. Our 'Organisation Data & Analytics' team is at the heart of that. As Product Owner, you'll own the vision and roadmap for the services that determine whether a customer gets an offer, how quickly, and on what terms. You'll work in a cross-functional squad with a Tech Lead, engineers, and QA and collaborate closely with our clients (Swiss Health Insurances) and other Product Owners to make sure what your team builds connects to the bigger picture. If you want real ownership over a technically complex, strategically important product in a company that genuinely listens, this is the role.
What you will be responsible for
- Own the product vision and roadmap for esurance's Organisation Data & Analytics services. This is the backbone of how we evaluate customers and drive automated offer decisions at scale.
- Translate business needs and user insights into clear, prioritised epics and user stories that enable your team to move fast and build the right things.
- Lead the integration roadmap for key systems including CRM (BSI), Adcubum Syrius, and Sobrado. Coordinating across internal and international teams and external partners.
- Make outcome-oriented, data-driven product decisions aligned with esurance's platform vision and UX standards, while keeping the team unblocked and focused.
- Track and manage OKRs and budgets, ensuring every initiative ties back to the business case and stays on course.
- Ensure product components and their value creation logic are documented and clearly communicated. Enabling your team self-sufficiency and transparency across esurance.
- Collaborate closely with our health insurance customers, other Product Owners, and management in an agile project setting, representing your team's direction at the intersection of data, identity, and offer decisioning.
What makes you a match
The essentials:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience owning digital, software-intensive products, writing clear specifications, managing backlogs, and delivering measurable user value.
- Fluent German and eligibility to work in Switzerland, required for daily collaboration with Swiss users, customers, and SWICA.
- Comfortable working at the intersection of technical complexity and business outcome. You don't need to code, but you understand APIs, data flows, and microservice architecture well enough to lead confidently.
Great to have:
- Experience in FinTech, InsurTech, or another regulated digital environment, especially with SME or B2B products.
- Familiarity with cloud-native SaaS development, data analytics, or identity & access management concepts.
- Experience navigating complex system integrations (CRM, ERP, or similar enterprise platforms).
What sets you apart as a person:
- You turn ambiguity into clarity for your team and your stakeholders, without waiting for someone else to define the path.
- You balance curiosity with decisiveness: you explore broadly, then commit and move.
What you can expect
- Flexible working hours and a genuine hybrid setup in Zürich/Winterthur
- Real product ownership ==> Flat hierarchy with no layers between your ideas and their impact.
- A modern, evolving tech stack with room to shape tooling decisions.
- Professional development to keep growing your skills.
- An international, distributed team that values different perspectives.
